ASSEMBLY DELEGATES AND ALTERNATES!  The Big Day is tomorrow.  You will be greeted and given all instructions when you arrive, beginning at 8 a.m..  There will be hot coffee, tea and water in the Ballroom.   LUNCH:  Sandwiches, chips, fruit, drinks, etc., will be available, from the Marriott outside the Ballroom starting at 11:00 a.m.  We will not finish all business before 1:00.

ANNUAL DINNER:  There are still seats available, it's going to be a festive and informative event.  You can sign up online today, and tomorrow morning at Assembly.

Democratic incumbent legislators Rep. Randy Fischer and Rep. John Kefalas are tentatively set to address the Breakfast Forum in June, when they finish their heavy lifting at the State Capitol.

The Larimer County Democratic Party and the CSU College Dems are co-hosting DFA's Campaign Academy in Fort Collins. DFA Campaign Trainings bring local activists, campaign staff and candidates together for 2 days of intensive campaign training. Professional trainers with decades of campaign experience will help you plan and execute a winning grassroots campaign.

April's Barackfast will benefit Jay Harrison, Democratic candidate for Larimer County Sheriff.
Jay has been a law enforcement officer for 26 years and currently serves Larimer County as a patrol deputy. He is also a K-9 trainer and handler. Jay has served on the SWAT team and as a field training officer. He is certified to instruct in nine different areas of law enforcement.
Jay is truly a public servant; he does not have a political agenda. He believes being tough on crime while preserving Constitutional rights. Come meet Jay and learn more about our next Sheriff!
Barackfast is a monthly breakfast for "causes, charities and candidates"

Namaqua Forum on Sunday, March 28: Colorado Education 2010 by State Senator Bob Bacon
On Sunday, March 28,  the Namaqua Forum will present Colorado Education 2010 by State Senator Bob Bacon, chair of the Colorado Senate Education Committee. He will give updates on current state legislation. and will focus on: budget cuts and school finance, testing and accountability, higher education, early childhood education.
Senator Bacon has resided in Fort Collins since 1959. He received an MA in history from University of Northern Colorado and taught in Poudre School District until 1991, when he took a post at Front Range Community College for four years. After retiring from teaching, he was twice elected to the Poudre School District Board of Education.
In 1996 he served in the State House, where he represented west Fort Collins and rose to the post of Assistant Minority Leader. He was elected to his first term in the State Senate in 2004 and reelected in 2008. In addition to chairing the Senate Education Committee, he serves as Chair of the Capital Development Committee, Vice Chair of the State veterans and Military Affairs Committee, and a member of the Appropriations Committee. Bacon Elementary School in southeast Fort Collins is named in his honor.
The Forum is free and open to the public.
