AND THE WINNERS ARE...
Every year at the LCDP Annual Dinner, we recognize volunteers with awards. The 2010 Award winners are:
Dan Shaner, Robin Murphy Davis Award
This award honors a Larimer County Democrat whose efforts have made a material change in Larimer County Democratic political activities or successes. It is meant to honor an individual whose vision and demeanor has inspired many of us.

Jim Kelly, Bev Schmidt, Kathy Fischer and Beth Helmers (spouses of our Larimer County Democratic elected office holders), Volunteers of the Year
This is recognition for those unsung heroes who give us all so much by providing tireless support, wide ranging contributions and playing all over the field. This year we wanted to celebrate these special volunteers.

Watch for the announcement of the Lifetime Achievement Award winner in next week's newsletter!

Sat, Mar 27: 2010 LCDP ANNUAL FUNDRAISER DINNER!
You'll want to be there to hear the NEXT Governor of Colorado,  John Hickenlooper, and CD4 Congresswoman, Betsy Markey; State Reps. John Kefalas & Randy Fischer, State Sen. Bob Bacon, and all the great new Democratic candidates for state and local office!

Our keynote speaker is Congressman Jim Oberstar,  a member the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party. His primary legislative and policy responsibilities arise from his role as chairman of the Transportation & Infrastructure Committee.  This position offers him the opportunity to shape the future of America's infrastructure and transportation systems, something we here in Larimer County are eager to hear more about. An avid cyclist, Oberstar has been a champion of creating trails for cycling and hiking to promote healthy living and more active lifestyles.  Representative Oberstar is also a strong supporter of the Head Start program; he considers this program one of most successful federal anti-poverty programs ever created.

$85 per person, $850 per table
Date & Time: Century and Millennium Club receptions at 5:30 pm, Dinner at 7:00pm
Location:
Marriott, 350 East Horsetooth Road, Fort Collins
Silent Auction Suggestion of this week:
This week's suggestions for the silent auction are: large baskets, hand made items, and patriotic memorabilia. If we collect all these great donations by the 18th of March it would help us produce the bid sheets in advance.
Please drop off your donations to either party office by March 18, if possible.
