Message from the Chair:

Those of you who were delegates to the CD4 and State Assembly this past weekend were probably, as CDP Vice Chair Dan Slater said, "Exhausted and Fired up".  Friday night we nominated CU Regent candidate Robert Bishop-Cotner.  But the star of the evening was Betsy Markey, who really fired up the crowd with her acceptance of the CD4 Nomination.

Saturday saw a larger group convene with impassioned speeches by statewide candidates including our next Governor John Hickenlooper.  Cary Kennedy, Bernie Buescher, Stan Garnett, and Melissa Hart rounded out an impressive crowd of nominees.

In the U.S. Senate race, both Andrew Romanoff and Michael Bennet will be on the primary ballot, and both pledged party unity going forward from the August primary.

Democratic Attorney General candidate Stan Garnett will be debating Republican incumbent Suthers who is frittering tax dollars with his partisan mission to oppose the historic Health Care Reform that millions of us just fought for and won.  See below in this newsletter for important information about next week's debate - you won't want to miss it!

Finally, as we head into Summer soon, we have two events on June 5th - Berthoud Days and Pride in the Park - where your help is needed.

Have a great week!
Adam Bowen
