Message from the Chair:    Speaker Romanoff in Red Feather on Saturday, everybody everywhere on Sunday, July 4th.

It’s an exciting Independence Day weekend in Larimer County and Andrew Romanoff is joining the Red Feather parade on Saturday. Andrew is staying for a fundraiser, please see the details below.

The LCDP is promoting Democratic principles at the celebrations in Red Feather, Wellington, Loveland and Fort Collins. I’ll be working with the Karen Stockley campaign in Red Feather and checking in at our booth in Fort Collins.
It’s a busy weekend and Julie Lechtanski still could use some help staffing it all. Call her at 970-232-9683 and volunteer your talents in a vital election year. Thanks for everything, Julie.

Congresswoman Betsy Markey is going to join the parade in Wellington and talk with voters in Loveland and Fort Collins on Sunday. I hope to see her, but I’m not sure I can keep up with her pace.

Don’t forget the Rooftop Rodeo and our colleagues in Estes Park on Tuesday, July 6th
.

"Our ideals of freedom, set forth and realized in our Constitution, are our greatest export to the world."

Senator Robert Byrd, D-W.Va., 1917-2010.

Join fellow progressives after the Rooftop Rodeo Parade for mouth-watering pulled pork sandwiches, which David White has graciously offered to prepare. Date & Time: Tuesday, July 6, after the parade (around Noon)
Location: Stanley Park (a short walk from the end of the parade, in the shelter near the tennis courts)

Wed, July 7: GUESS WHO'S COMING TO BREAKFAST?
After last minute appearances by Congresswoman Betsy Markey and US Senate Candidate Andrew Romanoff at the June Democratic Breakfast Forum, no one can predict which luminaries might show up for the July 7 event. It is safe to say that mystery guests will not include the CEO of BP or President Obama, but we tried!
Instead, Dems will have the opportunity to have breakfast with candidates who could become the next Larimer County Sheriff, or Kevin Lundberg's replacement in the Colorado Senate. Come hear the candidates with August 10 Democratic primary contests: Sheriff candidates, Jay Harrison & Al Ohms; Colorado Senate District 15 candidates, Rich Ball & Torsten Eckstein.
The July Breakfast Forum is an opportunity to also meet just-elected LCDP Chair William Russell, become an informed primary voter and enjoy a good breakfast in the best of company.

Date & Time: Wednesday, July 7, 7:45 am
Location: Cafe Columbine & Bakery, 802 W. Drake, NW corner of Drake & Worthington, Fort Collins
Attendance By Reservation Only: RSVP by June 30 to Lou Anderson, 224-5018, or email larimerdembreakfastforum@gmail.com.
