Caucus & Assembly Process in March!
It’s time to remake our local party once again. The Caucus and Assembly process coming in March of this year offers EVERY Democrat in the county a chance to elect grassroots leaders at the precinct level and to send delegates to our County Assembly who will choose our Democratic candidates for 2026.
Many campaigns will be looking for people to caucus for them, but if you really want a voice, you’ll need to become a delegate to our Assembly, and others after ours.
We’ll be doing a run of virtual workshops and practice sessions in January and February, but for now, mark your calendars for the following dates:
- Thursday, March 5, 5:30-8:00: Larimer Dems Countywide Virtual Caucuses. (A link to pre-register will be available in mid-February.)
- Saturday, March 7, 9:30-12:00: Larimer Dems Virtual Assembly for delegates elected at Caucus. (A link to pre-register to run will be available in mid-February.)
- Week of March 23: Virtual Assembly for Congressional Districts 2, 4, and 8. You must be elected as a delegate to these districts from our County Assembly.
- Saturday, March 28: Colorado Dems State Assembly in Pueblo. If you want a voice on who makes the ballot for US Senate, and for Governor, Attorney General, Secretary of State, and Treasurer, you must be elected as a delegate to State from our County Assembly.
Watch our calendar for workshops and training to get ready for Caucus and Assembly. Politics isn’t just a sprint from September to November; it’s a long race that begins now! If you want different choices, this is how you make a difference.
